
Your Pooch & Anxiety
MOST PARENTS DON'T REALIZE
that their fur babies could have anxiety. Communicating feelings is harder for our pets so we need to be careful and try to be on the lookout for possible symptoms.

SYMPTOMS
Here are some common signs of anxiety in dogs to help you out:
- Barking or howling when the parent isn't home
- Panting and pacing (even when it's not hot)
- Shivering
- Running away and/or cowering in the corner of a house
- Digging
- Escaping the yard
- Destroying furniture
- Self-harm, including excessive licking or chewing
- Not eating
- Urinating more frequently
- A general inability to settle
SOLUTIONS
There are several solutions to this issue. They may include behavioral training, medication, supplements, cuddling and showing affection, and changes to their environment to make them more comfortable.
